Racial Leadership And It's Rewards

The members of the Afro-centrist Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago obviously love their minister of 40 years, Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Over this period he grew the church from 87 members to over 8,000 -- quite a successful ministry.
Considering the recent publicity regarding his sermons, it is quite clear that his success in building the tremendous membership is due, certainly in part, to his preaching a gospel of racial hatred for America in general and white people in particular.
Rev. Wright has just recently retired from his church. The people of this church, who obviously have agreed with his teachings of hatred for America, loves him so much that they are building him a mansion for his retirement. The house is in upscale Tinley Park on a 20-acre plot next to a golf course. It is quite large - 10,000 sq. ft. - and is equipped with an elevator and a swimming pool. The plot cost $308,000 and the house is estimated to cost $1.6 million. In addition, the minister will receive a $10 million line of credit. And, not so incidentally, the house is located in an all-white neighborhood.
And, all of this for a man who preaches that “the America which is run by rich white people” does not do enough for poor black people, but who prefers to live in the neighborhood, not with the black people who are downtrodden, but with white people who are rich.
Presidential candidate, Barrack Hussein Obama, Jr. is a Kenyan-American who has spent all of his adult years, mostly in Chicago’s predominately black South Side, working as a community activist trying to get help for poor black people and building black voter registration. He divorced himself from his white mother at an early age. In his book “Dreams From My Father,” he said: “I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13 when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.”
Although Obama has spent all of his adult life trying to increase the power of the poor black people in Chicago, he lives in a large $1.6 million house on a gated lot. Incidentally, the house is in a white neighborhood. His income last year was $4.2 million.
My goodness, carrying the racial torch certainly pays very well, but you don’t want to live among those people.
